DOUGLAS B. JOYCE -- 1961-2012
Douglas was placed in a group home without proper reason by the state of IL on September 30, 2011. He was not allowed to see his dying mother but a few times during the following 12 months she was alive. He was forced to have a hip replacement operation without proper guidance from family.
On Saturday, November 17, he spent the whole day with his brother Greg, just simply spending time and enjoying each other and the fall weather.
On Monday evening, November 19, around 4:45 p.m., at the group home, Doug had a sudden cardiac arrest resulting from poisoning in his bloodstream from an unknown cause and reptured internal organs. Knox County declined to perform an autopsy and there was little to no investigation into Doug's sudden and unexplained passing.
At 12:31 a.m., Doug passed with his brother, Greg, by his side.
